BROCKTON —

Help Brockton set a world record by donning a Santa hat and attending the dedication of the James Edgar
plaque, commemorating the country's First Department Store Santa

Claus. Come downtown on Sunday, Nov. 23, to the Crescent Street Parking Garage
for the 1 p.m. event. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. at Joe Angelo's restaurant, at the corner
of Main and Crescent streets. Wear your own Santa hat, or buy one there for $2. If enough people show up,
the feat will be registered with the Guinness Book of World Records.
